Sharp AQUOS Phone 16MP Camera 3D Android Phone goes global.

Few weeks ago Sharp introduce it’s AQUOS Phone series. The two most interesting models are the AQUOS PHONE SH (3D Smartphone) and the world’s first clamshell Android phone AQUOS PHONE THE HYBRID 007SH. The 3D handset got a huge specs sheet. See below the key features:
  • Android 2.3
  • 3.4-inch naked-eye 3D LCD touchscreen with 854×480 resolution
  • 0.7-inch OLED sub-display
  • 16MP CCD camera with 1,280×720 HD video recording support
  • waterproof body
  • digital TV tuner
  • Micro HDMI interface
  • Blu-ray recorder connectivity
  • size: 113×51.8×19.3mm, weight: 140g
When Sharp said it will be available at SoftBank shops in Japan next month, we were disappointed that other countries won’t be able to get such a device. Now thanks to Sharp, in a press release the company just confirmed AQUOS PHONE will be Worldwide.
There is no clue on when the AQUOS Phone will launch , but the company mentioned “Sharp is using its proprietary technology to differentiate itself in the smartphone market and create a ‘global smartphone’ that will also be available in China.” Still we doubt by “global smartphone” what Sharp means, or it’s just Japan and China to get this monster.
